Procedures
1. Give each child a sheet of paper. Tell them they are going to
make a collage by tearing pieces of tissue and gluing them to their sheets of
paper.
2. Put large pieces of tissue on center of the table. Have children choose a
color and name it. Have them pinch edge of paper with index fingers and thumbs.
Make sure thumbs of both hands are touching. Have them pull paper in opposite
directions, tearing the paper.
3. Give children glue in squeeze bottles and have them put small drops of glue
on their papers. They then put small torn pieces of tissue paper on drops of
glue. Let them cover as much of the paper as they want.
EXTENSION: When the collages are dry, paint them with white glue diluted with
water for glazed effect.
